Flim Flam alert!
This goes out to all my pubic blogs. I’ve just come across a new public internet scam to watch out for. The scam looks like this. A very official email tells you to look at your account and that your password may be compromised. Now it doesn’t matter what account you have these folk take the artwork and logos from the legitimate site and paste them into these emails so they look authentic. Popular site scammers are from Ebay, Your credit card company, your utility company, and your bank. Adware tracks your site visits and you are paired with matching scammer sites so the emails they send out looks like something you may have signed up for or have an account with. If you look in the email at the links and hover over the link (don’t click it!!!) you can see where the link is headed. If it’s not a destination you know then beware.
For instance, I recently got an email from Ebay and paypal asking about activity on my account and that I needed to log in and verify my password and account settings. I looked at the link they provided and the link went not to Ebay or paypal but to some .edu website. Some students in a northern college had a scam that they sent these emails fishing for passwords. The link they provide goes to a fake Ebay site that collects your information and they can access you accounts. This type of scam is called PHISHING. Like fishing for info.
Real companies like Ebay don’t do this. These institutions don’t contact people and ask for your personal info. They have it. You registered with them.
If this happens to you send the email (forward) to the phishing division (yes they will have one) at the real company. They probably have a lot of other people reporting the same thing.
Stay safe and have a great week.

Yesterday, right by us in Kennesaw, a man escaped from an officer while the officer was getting food at a waffle house. Today, the man is still at large ……. I guess that inmate really didn’t want to eat at the waffle house……………
I could picture the officer wandering around Kennesaw State University campus with some waffle house coffee and eggs calling “Here convict …convict ….. convict ……
My wife said he should call suueee … suueee….. suueee….. I said no ….That’s the call for lawyers. (Sue Me) I just thought it was funny …….

It’s Monday and the week is just starting. We had snow Sunday here in Atlanta and it was great. I wish it had lasted longer and my son wishes they had canceled school. the snow was so heavy that it broke the windshield wiper right off the car. It just goes to show you that if you don’t like the weather in Ga. just wait an hour because it’s going to change.

I’ve got a few blogs going on now and I like to post a few private thoughts for those that like to follow those type of things. It’s late at night and I’ve wrestled the laptop away from my son so I can jot down a few thoughts of my own. First off - I think I’m a very lucky man do be doing what I do for the people I do it for. I love being a stage hypnotist and I love producing programs to help people change their lives. It’s not an easy thing to keep up with all the Business in “Show business” and it’s a learning process for us all as the economy goes into uncertain areas. As entertainers, we look to areas where we can work and I’m very pleased to be doing a number on fundraiser this year. So far the average the clients earned from these easy to produce events is aprox $1500.00 with no out of pocket expense or risk. This is a great value added area to earn cash for a group, organization, or school. Contact me if you want to easily earn cash with a fun(d)raiser. Thanks ….. see you at the show!!! D

I’ve found that most of the best things in life don’t cost very much money but are truly priceless.
The other day my son called me on the cell phone. We have one of those plans that we pay by the minute and have no “free” minutes. This keeps us from racking up a big bill and works for us. So I tend to watch the minutes. But … I don’t watch them too closely and I’ll tell you why.
The other day my son called. I could tell the conversation was coming to a close and I had the choice to either close the call and get under my minute or let the call run longer and run over causing me to spend an extra $.05 (my minute rate.) I chose to run over and just let my son talk. Just after the minute beeped by my son closed out the conservation with these words “Thanks Dad - I Love You” I said back “I love you too - bye” and we ended the call. As I hung up the phone I noticed that it took just an extra :10 to let my son talk and I got that last “I Love You.”
When you think about how much time love takes and how much love costs, I can answer easily.
How long does love take? - :10
How much does love cost? - $.05
For my money, …. love is a pretty good value - it’s doesn’t take much time and it’s doesn’t take much money. Especially if you do it in bulk.
Love you all.
